Chinanews, Guangzhou, June 4 - At the 32nd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, the “New measures of Implementation of the Law on Protection of Women's Rights” were passed unanimously.
According to the “New Measures”, cheating women into prostitution is strictly prohibitied, particularly under the name of marriage-seeking, friends-making and employee recruitment. Besides, the “New Measures” also bans illegal body checks on women. Of course, no one is allowed to abuse women, particularly sexually.
The “New Measures” is also meant to change the prejuidice and discrimination against women in the job market.
Domestic mental violence is an important matter of concern in the “New Measures”, too, as it clearly says that any act that harms the body or mind of women is prohibited, including but not limited to beating, binding, etc.
