Chinanews, Beijing, Oct. 9 – The Beijing Municipal Small Animal Protection Association reveals that at present, Beijing has 400,000 stray cats and dogs. Their excessive reproduction has already affected the city image seriously.
The association has asked veterinarians from 52 pet hospitals to join in a public campaign and give sterilization operations to some 1,204 stray animals.
