初中生态主题英语演讲稿Save the earth

Good   morning  ,ladies  and  jentlemen  ,I’m  so  happy  to  stand  here  and  give  you  a  short  speech.  Today  my  topic  is  “save  the  earth”.  I  hope  you  will  like  it  and  find  the  importance  of  protecting  the  earth  so  that  more  cherish  it.

“Mum, I’m  sorry, but  I  need  3000  yuan  for  my  tuition  this  year.”

“Mum, it’s  my  friend’s  birthday  tomorrow, I  must  buy  her  a  present.”

“Mum, this  jacket  was  out  of  fashion  long  ago . Would  you  do  me  a  favor ?”

Take , take ,  take ,the  relationship  between  a  mother  and  a  child  always  seems   to  follow  such  a  pattern.

I  know  my  mother  is  always  there  for  me , providing  me  with  everything  I  need, from  food  to  clothing ,from  tuition  to  pocket  money. I  never  thought  twice  about  all  she, until  one  day  she  said ,‘‘Will  there  be  a  time  that  you  will  say   you  have  taken  enough  from  me ?”

We   humans  are  just  like  the  child ,endlessly  get  everything  from  the  earth . Day  by  day , year  after  year , the  earth  is  in  danger ! She  is  so  angry  that  she  worns   people  about  the  environment .

We  all  know  that  the  earth  is  our  home , our  only  home.  We  must  protect  it .Without  the  earth , we  couldn’t  live . And  all  the  animals  and  plants  in  the  world  would  die . But  the  fact  is, the  environment  on  the  earth  is  becoming  worse  and  worse . People   pollute  the  environment  anytime . It’s  said  that  earth  was  much  more  beautiful  200  years  ago  than  now. What’s  more , there  were  many  special  animals  and  plants  which  were  unseen  any  longer  now . Why ?  Because of the  polluted  environment .

Perhaps  a  few  years  later , the  earth  may  change  into  a  large  desert, we  can’t  see  any  trees, we  can’t  see  clean  water , either .What  should  we  leave  to  our  children? Our  grandchildren?  Only  death !  Will  they  complain ? Of  course!

So  these  years , I  always  take  an  active  part  in  spring . I  go  out  to  plant  trees  each  year .In  my  mind , nature  is  our  mother . As  her  children  ,we  should  love  her  and  take  good  care  of  her.  Now  it’s  time  to  put  the  words  into  actions.

The  earth  is  our  mother ,she  becomes  weaker  and   weaker  now.  I  believe  I   can’t   control  others,  but  I  can  control  myself  to  protect  our   mother .

I  can’t  predict  the  condition  of  tomorrow’s, but  I  can  control  today’s .

I  can’t  be  a  victor  in  any  time , but  I  can  try  my  best .

I  can’t  control  the  weather ,  but  I  can  change  my  mood .

I  can’t  choose  my  appearance, but  I  can  show  my   smile  confidently.

The   earth  is  our  mother, we  must  protect  it . This   is  a  long  way  to  go.
