   Today，we are coming here to discuss a very hot topic. That is: how to find harmony in a new age between man and nature? Living in this "new age”, seeing my dear fellows suffering from respiratory diseases from time to time, finding the beautiful color of green is turning gray and pale, and realizing that our mother planet is getting more and more unhealthy, I can't help trying to offer my idea to look for the answer of the question.

Who are we?

Some people may proudly say: we are the masters of nature. It is true that the idea which” man can conquer nature" has dominated people's mind for many years, and it is thousands of years. However, as the consequence of this kind of "leadership" , now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control. Facts are really very ample.

The greenhouse effect makes cities along the coast, such as Shanghai, the oriental pearl, facing the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for creatures including human beings; and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed... Seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? We are not the masters of nature. We, human beings should realize that we are just a normal member of nature. Any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her.

You might ask yourself, ”Have I ever picked up some rubbish? Have I ever planted trees or flowers? Have I ever collected waste paper or bottles?”

I am very pleased to find that more and more people answer, ”Yes”. They have come to realize that harmony with nature is the only way to continuous progress and prosperity.

Our hometown Anji, is a successful example. She is a real garden city. Every year, thousands of people from all over the country come here to enjoy the green bamboos and drink the pure white tea. There is fresh air. There is blue sky here. There is lovely grass here. There isn’t any pollution here. We can never see any dirty water or hear any big noise.

We live with nature happily. We are proud of the beautiful scenery here. We protect nature and we love her. So nature rewards us with a much more beautiful city.

Let’s make friends with nature. Let’s protect the environment together!
